If i was BB chipleader in this situation, and had the power to protect someone by folding, my decision would depend on how the game had panned out. If Small Stack 1 had been playing like a coward, taking max time on every hand and not playing a hand, whilst Small Stack 2 had had a go, but had taken a big beat, i'd look to save Small Stack 2. Often in these cases you'll find that players will try and protect the Small Stacks on their own table, especially if the table has been together for a while. Another reason for going all-in here.
