Re-raise! About pot-sized would do. You have almost double his stack and the 2nd strongest hand in poker. You don't have to worry about position or player read here and there's only one player behind you. Even if you lost all-in to the raiser, you'd still have over 3000 chips left. Piece of cake.

Yep, repop it up and call a shove. I'd make it about 11 or 1200 here.

RE RAISE! re raise it up to about 1200 or even about half of his stack...that puts him in a situation where he either has to fold or or re raise all in...eliminating the chances of him just calling...

I guess what I'm wondering is... is the goal to pop it so much you end the hand right there, or is there a way to get max value from the hand.

I suppose it has alot to do with what he is holding.

yea poker be so much easier if you knew this....

seriously just make a standard raise, there are not many flops you can be scared of and there are tons that will pay you off. If he flop top pair with ace kicker you will make a good amoung of chips there.

We're not in a position to slowplay or do anything tricky. If villain is sitting on like 1500 or 2K in chips instead, then maybe we can trap him by letting him c-bet, but even then he'll have committed so much of his stack that reraising is fine too.

Just 3-bet to ~1200.

thanks for the responses, and this is rather anti-climatic here is what happened:

vanaus1 raises to 1,300
Dewi cool folds
aceskay has 15 seconds left to act
aceskay folds
Uncalled bet of 900 returned to vanaus1
vanaus1 mucks
vanaus1 wins the pot (960)
*** SUMMARY ***
Total pot 960 | Rake 0
Seat 1: Hamburger_K4 didn't bet (folded)
Seat 2: Ahelle didn't bet (folded)
Seat 3: dombasas didn't bet (folded)
Seat 4: aceskay folded before the Flop
Seat 5: WackyBriNYC didn't bet (folded)
Seat 6: jfiiue4 (button) didn't bet (folded)
Seat 7: vanaus1 (small blind) collected (960), mucked
Seat 8: Dewi cool (big blind) folded before the Flop
Seat 9: SteveO_Case didn't bet (folded)

I guess I was feeling greedy at the time and wanted more. Better then getting outdrawn going in with the best hand though.

Pretty standard here; don't rethink your 3-bet just because you didn't get action this time.

Perfect play and you still got 960 back.
