With your read on his loose play this is fine. You got your chips in at a 72/28 lead and villain sucked out.

Right move shitty result. The only thing I would change is the 3bet, I'm going to bump that up to about 3.4 to 3.6k

Fixed. The fact that he's loose doesn't mean anything. You have kings, go all in preflop. I wouldn't even bother 3-betting small, just jam it all in.

If was lose enough to shove with A9o there it's likely a non-issue, but with your stack you should be shoving KK instead of making a cute rr there.. unless you have an amazing read you should never, ever think about laying down KK in one of the micro tourneys..

Agree, with KK here its shovey dovey, and if he calls its a huge mistake on his part.

I agree with Jilly, you got your chips in with the best of it, that is all you can do against a loose player. Sometimes you just get unlucky.

Since the blinds are 300/600 n ur chip stack of 7k ur pretty much in the orange zone with a M of 8. With what ever read u had of this guy u shud of shoved all-in with ur mighty KK. He shud fold his A9 to ur re-raise but in micro buy-in MTT's he probs wud of called n he got lucky from that donkish play.

I suppose there is also a 50 or 75 ante, which means that you don't even have 10 BB. I would have been very happy to get such a hand being relatively short-stacked. As I only fear one hand, A-A, and given the circumstances, I think an all-in is the best option. Of course you risk losing, especially against an A-X hand, which you also did. But ~7 times out of 10 you will win, and that's what's important.

I fail to see how stacking off preflop with the second nuts requires bringing up the size of the ante.

Why?

Even against a real nitty player, can you really lay down KK?

No not preflop you cant. Why would you.If someone is playing bad why wouold someone lay down KK to them. The only hand that has you beat is AA.

thanks for all the posts, i figured it was the right play here he just got lucky as he was all tourny with lesser hands than that, and at that point he was 2nd or 3rd in chips i guess he figured his A would be good (and it was)

Nothing you could've done. You're only playing 2.20 and you're not going to fold K/K there ESPECIALLY against a loose player. You have to hope your hand holds up.
