i am ahmushybaby. i tried bluffing the BB putting him on a 3. Is this a justifiable play, or a complete donk up. i know what i think, i think it was fine for the most part, just curious what everyone else thinks.

I think first hand was a donk move on your part. And the second hand wasn't much better.

The first to act bet on the turn from him suggests he has something and if you are going to bluff it's nice to have some outs. Once he calls your raise you should give him credit and your river bet is desperation more than anything.

2nd one, you've lost me there I'm afraid :)

Hand one - u took a shot at the pot, he called, I would have though "well, I`ve had a go. He must have me beat" So I would have checked it down and folded to a raise.

U both check the flop so either
  1. U both missed it or
  2. Someone is slow playing a set
I think a bet here would have told me he had the 4 and was probing/ he already had a pp - or obviously it could have been a bluff. Either way, u had ziltch!!! So a bet at the flop would have been better, then fold to a raise.

So thats the good news!!!

The second hand  sorry, but what were u thinking of???

I know they were soooooooooted, but, contary to belief, that does not make them a monster hand. I could understand with a lot of limpers and u in late position, but what would u have done if one of the players in late position had raise say 4 times the BB?

You got lucky. I think a big problem u had was u did not read your opponent. If u r up against a nutta does not mean u have to play like one. Wait until u have at least a 1/2 decent hand.

Sry to be so blunt.
