I think that's a bit too big a bet on the flop. I think a 2/3-pot sized bet has the same effect as what you're doing here. AQc/QQ/JJ might call. I don't think he has AA, as he probably would've pushed PF.

Also if he's playing 99 you're in big trouble and could've found that out at a cheaper cost.

In a word, yes, but I don't think you need me to tell you that! Why bet more than twice the pot?

If he has an Ace, he's drawing to just 3 outs. If he has a pair, he has 2 outs. Don't worry too much about being outdrawn - bet as much as you think he'll call.

What are you hoping for when you bet 10k into a 4k pot on the flop?

How likely do you think that what you're hoping for is going to happen?

Yeah id say thats a big over bet. But on the other side of the coin...It might look like a big bluff and your trying to buy the pot. If i had JJ or QQ i might call you there , That big over play bet looks like AK has missed and is pushing you out with a huge over bet. But then again folding a over pair and leaving your self with over 10,000 chips would be a better decision.
