Make a bet slightly larger than the pot. It's dangerous to slowplay a set with two of the same suit on the flop.

I'd lead out, unless I was sure one of my opponents might try and steal the pot, then I'd check and go for the check/raise.

I'd raise three hundred here, then lead at the river, if he calls your raise he's calling almost any bet, so milk it for whatever you can. If you call he's probably going to put you on a flush, and that'd be bad, because if he has one, he might not think it's a very good one.

And you're not getting action from pretty much any other hand, except maybe trip tens.

this hand has been on my mind since it happened, i think i should have just pushed after the turn or at least bet more, i felt like i let them hang around in the hand too long and screwed myself, so i needed to find out if i played the hand horribly or just got unlucky.

You got unlucky, that's all. Even if you pushed after the turn, I think he would have called anyway.

Considering this is a $5 SnG, and the betting pattern I observed in this hand, I would say that the guy is a poor enough player that even if you pushed the flop he would have called an all-in. Thus, you were coolered, nothing you can do here.
