When checked too like that, you should attempt to bet its harder to read players online then live games. But you risked 700 into a pot of 1900, two checks you must fire thats the rule ive been told. Well earnt pot to put it simply. He could of even had an QJ off? without stats on the player its hard to assume what he had.

Nothing wrong with that bluff, if you think he has a small pair.
If they fold to small bids, then its good to raise the bluff frequenzy a little.

Ok, where did you get that rule from? It might work vs some players, but I would say its not a good rule to live by.

I put this guy on Queen / Jack. Here's the hint : he only bet 350 on the flop, then check / called turn. You may have guessed he can't beat a pair higher than 10s, so betting 350 was enough for him to call with his up and down straight. Betting the turn higher ( 850 - 1150 ) may have enticed him to fold for sure. Remember, always make it expensive for him pay to see the next card if you have a strong feeling he may be drawing for his straight.

Like almost everythign else in poker its situational, i think it was from a commentator watching PPT ( Mark Seif or Matt Corboy ). Jen harman was short stacked and made a standard raise in MP2 BB made the call i think, she bet the flop check the turn, checked the river.

Basically they made a comment along the lines of "well its a rule if checked to twice you should fire, especially against short stacks" a very general rule. I guess very situational, players, stacks, position in tournament, structure and that kind of thing.

Suprisingly, this guy was the chip leader and had a decent lead on you dont know wether you read hes weakness or just decided to stab at the pot but it was a decent chunk of your chips. Increased your stack by like what? %75? Nice move.

You should tell us more about the player and the situation....
How many times you play before and which cards did you show??

In the end you won the pot,....
So it has been the right move!

In general, you should be betting more on the turn bluff unless you have a read otherwise.

This was way too risky I think you lucked out that your opponent had nothing on the flop. That was a very opportunistic call. Its not a recommended call but you went with your guts and won so congrats.
