flatting pre seems std, not loving flop bet or turn bet, i probably just check back flop and fold to a turn bet. not betting turn as played, folding as played. even his air has solid equity man

Yea that is why I posted. During the hand I felt there was value to be made from drawing hands here. Semi-bluffing with showdown value was a no-no tho. When it was over, I had a feeling I was using the wrong part of my anatomy in this hand. Thanks for the help duggs. I'll wait for any more comments and spoil the result in a bit.

Flat pre is fine given how deep we are, don't really get why this isn't a super easy check fold flop, check fold turn, check fold river barring Full house.

How exactly? Check/fold means check if checked to you fold if anyone bets. If its checked thats an easy check. If someone bets its an easy fold. We have no diamond no flush draw am I missing something??

no, check/fold means check and fold to a bet on that street, just like bet/fold means bet and fold to a raise on that street, it certainly doesnt mean bet and fold turn.

Is that not what I just said? I'm so confused about this whole thread lol.

Gotta bail out on the hand. Not happy about it - but too early to have a good read, though I would sure suspect something given the villains lack of finesse. He could easily hold 78 on up.

well no that is not what you said you said check if checked to you fold if bet and that is not check/fold.

Check fold means you check and then fold to any bet which can only happen if you act first since because in position you can only check if checked to you and if you do its on to the next street. C/f, C/C, and C/R all imply you check first and your subsequent move if villain bets on the same street.

reminds me of a hand i posted a while back
my table says it was an easy fold, i went for it -(i had JJ 1 overcard down and flush possibility (not for me)) riv gave me a set (and an easy strait possible) i was pretty commited and went for it
let me guess your hand- he flopped the nut flush??
cant believe everyone here says fold (to both yours and my hand) cuz when I play them I see 4bet bluffs, floating air, reraising smallest pp....think they dont practice what they preach sometimes

If I remember this hand correctly (pretty sure I do), I folded to his ai ott. He told me he had QQ after the hand. If thats true, then I guess we both liked the turn. FWIW, I usually try not to assume ppl are flopping flushes vs me in a hu pot and I may have been out of line trying to get value from a drawing diamond.

Thanks for your input guys.

^ I try not to be rude but if you're just gonna brag/hijack the thread I don't have a problem telling you that hand is played so bad you deserve a medal. :bird:
