You are still doing this thing, where you raise to 3BB with a short stack, where you should either min-raise or open jam. For me this is an easy open jam for 12BB. 88 is more than strong enough, and the hand dont play well postflop, so why not just go for max fold equity and try to pick up the blinds and antes? You should never be in this spot, where you have put in 25% of your stack and now have to call off a jam from another player, but as played yes this is a call.
