$Freeroll NLHE : My biggest leak? Getting bored and chasing draws without being priced in!

When I saved this hand for posting, I tagged it as "playing stupidly when I'm bored." I can get to a point in the MTT where I forget how to play smart!

With no real info on player styles (there are so many table changes during a MTT that it's hard to play enough with someone to get a read on them during a single game), do you agree that I should have folded the hand once the flop was bet? I think I should have! I think I was also distracted by my relative large stack size.

So how do I keep myself focused so I don't forget how I'm supposed to be playing during that middle phase of the tournament?

the problem with your hand is that the flop is paired and 2-flush so there is a much greater chance that you will make your straight and not be good.

also you're playing against 2 people with very weak ranges and it's not likely they stack off if you hit a monster.

Baudib1, would you have gotten out as soon as there was a bet on the flop? Or mucked on the river bet?

I'm thinking I should have ditched as soon as there was a 3/4-sized bet on the flop.

i like shoving the flop. calling is meh, folding probably best. calling the turn is absolutely terrible unless you plan to shove all non-club rivers (I wouldn't).

Shoving the flop? Why?

It'd be tough to call with just 6x or a flush draw.

Would a good size reraise not accomplish the same thing? That would still put pressure on SB...now having less than 10bb left.

Calling feels like a mistake to me. I would fold or reraise for the reasons baudib1 explains.

Fold on the turn, definitely.
