You heard it before I imagine, freerolls are a crapshoot. And this being early, with small blinds doesn't help much.

In your situation, a big PF raise, with the concept of getting all in, should be considered by you here.

3 times the raise to 150, so a reraise to 450, MIGHT get some of these folks to drop. Early fr, no telling for sure, but it would likely work in any of the cc buyins, and most buy in games, so keep that in mind.

You got unlucky. You were in best shape on the turn, at which point both of you were praying to fill the gutshot. He got luckier, thats all.

You know I am never sure how to quite play AK at times. It does seem like of course I should play it like KK or something. But since I know this is usually one of the most over played hands in poker, I always get a bit suspicious when I get a raiser before I play. That was the reason for the call originally. What if the flop comes out T62 for example. I dont exactly want to waste my money (especially if it turns out I dont get an Ace or King, or in extremem circumstances QJ for the str8) but I dont want to really check down like I did either.

Like you said early in a freeroll especially who knows what they could have.

Btw since I lost with it again...can we throw the QQ hand out of the deck (god I cant stand that pair) or can someone tell me how to actually play this hand effectively. Never really have this problem with JJ-88 but QQ i cringe when I get it.
