Not sure Shine. On the turn you have 2 players left to act, so while its a good idea to just call the 500 trying to suck another one in, in the same time its kind of improbable that happens since they both had checked flop and turn. Plus the 500 in a 250 pot was a bit exaggerated to hope one of the other 2 calls.

I still say I'm not sure though because if you raise the turn he might fold just like he did on the river. It seems like he made a bet there just to steal the pot, because it makes no sense that he folded the river to only 400 more. Even a weak ace should call the 400, which BTW was a nice value bet you made.

even though he should have called the 400, it showed that you made your flush or could have made one. i hate to slow play but i think this is one of those instances that would have warranted it. of cousre hind sight is 20 20, and knowing that he folded to your river bet. i would have checked it and hoped he bet out again, then raise.

I dunno about value raising preflop with a K9s.

I would have been tempted to take a stab at the flop because you're in position and it's been checked to you. The problem with that is that a weak Ace or some genius slowplaying a decent Ace isn't going anywhere and if the flush doesn't hit, do you call a turn bet?

The only other option I can see is betting big on the river, trying to represent a pot steal but I'm not sure how convincing that would be. Or make it at least a little bigger; 400 may look like a "please call" bet.

Edit: Joe points out the overbet of the pot on the turn which I missed. Since he checked the river, the turn bet was likely a pot steal attempt with nothing, meaning he's probably folding to anything on the river.

Villain has already checked the river.
