Not much to analyze here. Belongs in the BBV forum. You read the table right and you read the villain right. Nothing more you can do here. There is no 100% winner in NLHE, preflop, feel good about getting it AI with the best hand with a great read and let the donk suckout fade away.

I agree.. People undoubtedly get bored and start chasing their hunches..There is no rhyme or reason to the insanity..

Of course not, you played it fine. Similar to a donk getting me with K8o from the SB after a preflop raise with AA. It happens.

why not just go all in to begin with and make the idiot call without seeing the flop?

Because chances are said idiot wouldn't call an all-in. When you hold a hand such as AA and KK it's worth playing it with a raise and not an all-in to let someone see the flop. After that they may fold, but it gets money in the pot rather than simply winning the blinds (which 53o could do just as fine).

It's always cheaper to engage action than it is to ward if off. As soon as UTG called your preflop bet, you're not looking at the flop. You're looking at the pot. It's 735, your villain has 770.

This mistake here is your preflop bet. You want action with Kings. Raising 4xBB here gets chips into the pot, and leaves you room to price out draw heavy boards.

When the blinds are low, bob and weave through the hands. Keep the pots small if you can. There is a lot of poker left to be played.

The tournament was early and freeroll. I play very freerolls and see many players pushing all early in tourney.
I think that if you are playing a freeroll, you can risk more early in tourney and try to earn chips against bad players. If you lose, you don't lose real money and I don't lose much time on the table. But if you win, you can get a good condition in the tourney.

It's a freeroll and it's early. Are you really that surprised to see this play? Round 2 or not, people screw around in these things.
