I tried the $2 Sat to Sunday 100 grand. I didn't do too well. I lost my first time with pocket aces to 2 pair. I was able to make back my losses by grinding in the cash games. I feel I do pretty good with SNG and Heads up and short handed cash game. I don't care much for 9 player cash games or tournaments because they are so difficult to win.

My plan early was only to play AA and KK but I was able to see this flop cheaply.

People were playing real loose in this tournament and would not be difficult to imagine someone playing a low flush.

I would of re-raised pre-flop to get it down to 2-3 players, but post-flop, hard to put your opponent on quads, since they are so rare. Just a unlucky and tough loss there. You had the best flush so a quad or a full house was the only two hands he could of beaten you on. Both rare.

HMmmm.. as conservative as I play, NO, don't think I could have gotten away from this one either. If it were anything but the nut flush, maybe I could have laid down a low flush.

With a paired board, it's just one of those you have to shake your head over and ask - "why me?" ... ;)

Definitely not in a $2 tourney. I think his most likely holdings are AK or some jack (not necessarily full or quads). AA or KK are also minor possibilities. You beat the majority of that range.

I personally might shove the turn to get it in versus trip jacks or a lower flush before a potential river scare card. I'm not too afraid of a full house or quads on that board. You might just call so that AA or KK pays you off more on the river, but they might a turn all-in anyway. A river could potentially scare them off or give them the best hand as well.

No, you can't get away from this, and 98% of poker players are getting stacked here.

You wanted to see a cheap flop, sure, even if you raise, the ppJ is calling anyway.

Thought you flopped the FL, but is checked to you, which maybe you should bet, with position. The check is OK. Even so, what do you think quads will do here, CR, most likely flat call, and the next card is c'est la vie.

THE only way you can sniff this out, is the checked flop, on the paired board, and LOLOS 92 wakes up with a 300 bet into a 240 pot on the turn. Guess they didn't like the checked flop... I don't see that, and am probably allin here. If I lose to the FH or quads, well, ok. If you fold here, THAT would be a great laydown, but, not in a $2 buyin.

did you get unlucky, no, but give props to LOLOS 92, they played the hand quite well.

Don't get away from this hand, just a bad beat. If anything, suspect trips or a boat in the end, but having the nut flush you have to push them in.

in a 2$ tourny you have to. If it wasn't the nuts then maybe it is possible to lay it down
