You have to give them less than 2:1 to call so betting 200 into a 160 pot gives them(200/160=1.25) 1.25:1 which is not a profitable call.
I may be corrected on my math though as I used the simple equation.

I don't even try pushing people off draws on the flop, but you should make them pay for them and you certainly don't raise after you've fallen behind .

Shine is correct or close enough. However, he neglected to realize this was a freeroll, and villains mother would have called any bet size regardless.

Once you get to games where you feel pretty good that the other players have sane poker skills, then you can concern yourself more with correct bet sizing.

In this case the flushy flop should have slowed you way down but still the healthy size bet shine suggested (200) would have told you something.

I think it will tell you different things in different games. In this freeroll it tells you sb has something, doesn't respect proper poker, and is forcing you to adapt because of it. In a real money game where the play is 29.8 times better, a call of a big bet (same situation otherwise) would suggest the K with a good kicker or better (KK,AA in the hole), rather than the flush.

sorry dj, but freeroll or not, we're trying to show/teach proper bet sizing and such(proper poker) and once he learns the proper way to play, he may then decide to play those newly aquired skills as he chooses, so for now could we at least put the freeroll aspect of the game aside and concentrate on the basics for the newbies?:)
