He could easily have an ace but your betting says that you don't so he's either betting because he has one or because he doesn't think you have.

Your bet preflop gets called. The call on the turn means he has a piece of something and the bet on the river when he could check indicates strength.

However your failure to bet on the river indicates weakness so he could just be playing off that, you ask what his betting pattern indicates, but you raised preflop, checked the flop and weak-bet the turn, then checked the river.

If I was the other guy you'd really suprise me if you came back over the top and it would be a tough call with less than two pair but as played I'd fold if I was you and next time bet the flop or turn harder.

Your mid-pair hit a nasty flop, put up a bit of a fight then let it go before it becomes a critical decision.

hmm, tricky decision, assuming he didnt call your raise preflop with total rags and hit 2 pair on the river with j6 or something, Id probably put him on ace bad kicker suited. He checked the flop afraid you raised with Ace higher kicker. Who knows though, maybe he slow played a set. I would probably fold this, but I think you played it pretty well. Maybe you could have bet the flop, but if he called your raise preflop a good chance he has an Ace in his hand.

I think there's not much question you're behind on the river, and it's generally bad to raise someone if you know you're behind. Fold and save your chips for the next hand. The only hand you can beat is a flush draw that didn't hit, and it's too risky to come over the top when he could have a strong hand like a set that would call you.

id just call. He could be holding a weak ace but he probably would have bet something on the flop and might have tried raising you on the turn. I would call in this situation.

My guess; diamond flush draw that missed, but held the Jd.

I would have cbet the flop to find out if my hand is still good or not. I don't think your bet on the turn chases out a draw, and your check on the river would say to me that you weren't slowplaying an Ace and you're afraid of the Jack.
