just the relevant info here because ultimatebet is screwing with me about the HH:

Hand 48889342-11, blinds 10/20 (10-handed)

seat 5: sundy78 with 2545 chips
seat 6: goshan with 1890
seat 8: hammermc with 1340
seat 9: dkinchi with 730 (dealer)

Dealt to goshan: :2c4: :2d4:

Pre-flop: sundy78 calls 20, goshan calls 20, hammermc raises to 60, dkinchi calls 60, sundy78 calls 40, goshan calls 40

Flop: :9c4: :2s4: :10c4:

sundy78 checks, goshan checks (?), hammermc bets 100, dkinchi folds, sundy78 raises to 570, goshan ???

so there. i don't suppose anyone would question my call pre-flop, but the other two actions are more interesting. i am really uncertain about how to play this hand. comments, please...

as played, easily go all-in. anything else is no good

check is reasonable because the PFR acted after you and his raise size suggests he has a good-sized pair pretty often and will bet. if he doesn't, someone else probably will. leading out for 3/4 pot makes it easier to get the money in, though, cause if you get raised you can just shove

It's a freeroll, just ram and jam that flop and NEVER fold your set here. As played it's an easy shove - the board's too draw-heavy to slowplay here.

tbh you don't even need to really see the hand as the thread title itself = shove.

in my opinion, no. you're out of position and the board is incredibly drawy. draws can't know you have a set, so they'll overestimate their equity. you want to get the chips in now, cause a lot is calling you

i agree with all above, just need to shove it all in here, you have third nuts. No matter the tourny im pushing here, unless im deep stacked in a tourny and want to extract more value, but at first level always push. If its a set over set situation, thats just unlucky, there isn't much you can do about it, just happens

If you aren't going to shove a set, why even play pocket twos? To call down and hope everyone else misses their overcards?

…goshan goes all-in for 1830, hammermc folds, sundy78 calls.

sundy78 shows :qc4: :jc4: (OE straight flush draw – nobody can put any blame in this call, I think, especially from the big-gish stack at the table)

Flop: [:9c4: :2s4: :10c4:]

turn :3s4:
river :kh4:

sundy78 wins 4030 with straight, king high. (was 2nd in chips after this hand for a while)

No dodging ~14 outs this time. Oh well, will try again next week.
