SB 300 call 300
BB 600 check
1 call 600
2 call 600
3D ME call 600 Q10 off

Flop 4 Q 7 (two spades)

SB checks
BB all in 5400
1 fold
2 fold
3D call

Turn 10

River 4

No flush

I figured we were short handed and everyone wanted to limp I would take a peak. Flop comes and the BB pushes all-in. My first thought was why would he push here. It wasn’t a real good flop. This was what I was thinking: he could be on the flush draw, or he has a 9. I watched this guy push a lot of his chips with second pair earlier. The call risked all of my chips but I really felt I had the best hand. If he had a big Q he would of raised preflop, he cant help it. If he hit a set he wouldn’t of pushed because he knows I would fold. I thought about it a few more minutes and said I call.

He did not show his hand and I took down the pot.

Immediately after I am berated for making that call with all my chips. I thought I worked my way through it quite well. It made sense for me to call there the way the hand was played. I sat quietly stacking my chips. He goes on to say it was all luck and that poker is just luck. How can you make that call? I hear these a lot when I bust him and unfortunately I do it to him frequently. Is something just not clicking right in my brain. Did I not think this through properly? Winner take all set up I’m going to have to gamble eventually, I chose to gamble when I thought I was good.

He did say he had a Q with a weak kicker, but who knows.

Any and all thoughts are appreciated.

It is just a little bit harder to read than if you took it off the hand histories. When you want your hands sent to your email address it should be under the options on whatever site you play.

But no with so much money but into the pot for so little I would not have called in that situation.

Anyways, it looks relatively standard to me. You can fold pre-flop easily, though.

You did fine..you won the hand....I didn't really understand your post it wasn't formatted well, and I'm sure that others feel the same way.

There are a lot of posts here and REALLY, you didn't do anything wrong. The guy probably had aq or kq, he wanted you to call...you did...he lost....what more is there to say really?

Don't really understand why the table berated you for it. It's not like you were raised and could definitely put him on a high queen. If he did have the high queen losing the hand is his fault really, because you prolly couldn't call a 3 bb bet preflop with q 10 off.
The berating stuff feels worse and is harder to shake live, so I think that's why you want affirmation your play wasn't stupid. Your thought process was correct, and you made the right call.
The more confident you get in your own skill, the happier you'll be when berated by a table during a live game.
The more stupid they think you are, the more stupid they will play against you. That can't be a bad thing.

Yeah, but limping isn't a good alternative.

he made a move, and you slapped his peepee for it. Ignore the comments after the hand and NEVER explain yourself to another player in a live game. You dont want to giveaway information or help improve their game

Cowboy....you are really funny and I cannot believe you claim Club One in Fresburg.....or do you hail from Easton? Have you tried the Tachi Palace? Great fish to be had in the poker room and the wsop tournaments (paying the buy-ins for the real deal) are only $50 with less than 30 players.
