What's so great about pocket pairs? Less than half of them are decent, and less than a third are great. The way I see it, you had 5 playable hands out of 43. Yea, that's below average, but not significantly so. I don't see what's so remarkable about the hands you were dealt.

Significant? As in rigged? If you knew me, you'd know that that is not what I'm implying. Personaly, I have never had a run of hands as bad as this. Maybe I'm just lucky.

I once had a run of 150 hands deal without a single win. Ofcourse it was limit and I was playing tight, but I was on tilt for several days because of it. The hands I were dealt were fine but the flops, turns and rivers weren't my friends that day.

Those where some tuff cards to play, but I have to agree with shwingzilla
pocket pairs are often way over rated

I bet the others were all getting PP's all over the place and flopping sets like crazy huh? I'm slowly joining the "rigged" armada.

OK, there is nothing special about pp's. If I had seen a few of them, I probably wouldn't have lasted 40+ hands. I just thought that the dearth of playable hands was notable. Not even any decent draw hands. I'm sure that I must have looked like the worlds biggest tight ass. Sometimes the cards rule and the best poker players in the world can't overcome them.

At last years wsop Daniel Negreanu, sitting at a featured table (of course), was out the first day due to a parade of cold cards, against a table of nobodies except Sam Farha. His frustration was visable.
