I think you played it fine, I stack off with him every time here. Especially in a tourney.

Completely unavoidable, you played it correctly.

This same situation happened to me a few days ago. I had 44 and villian had 10 10, flop was 224 turn was 10 and I lost my whole stack. I thought long and hard if that could have been avoided and couldn't come up with anything.

In theory, I don't know how the betting went, but you were winning on the flop so if you weren't already all-in then then a bigger bet there might have helped.

In my case I was pure dead meat the whole time and getting strung along, but I think I agree I just have to let myself get stacked off when that happens unless I get some kind of psychic read.

Thanks for the spot check.

I agree with the other guys here, set over set is nearly always impossible to get away from. The only thing that can save you in these situations is if the board 4-flushes or an open ended straight draw appears.

Unfortunately this is a very unscary board for you

You're ahead of the range of the average $20 turbodonk here, easily.

Just make a quick note about the hand and move on.

That sucks! There was nothing you could do to prevent that aside from folding which you weren't going to do. Tough break.

One of those "shit happens" hands. Looks like you played it properly to me.
