$7.50 NLHE MTT Bounty: Final table AJo Shove 52 BB?
Villian Stats (VPIP/PFR/AF): 22/19/2.3
Final table of $7.50 PKO. I have 52 BB and 2/8. Villain to my left seems like a decent reg. (Not opted in sharkscope but shows 82 ability over 15k games).
UTG shoves 12BB. I am UTG +2 and have AJo. I thought about shoving as I am usually ahead of the UTG's shove (plus with his stats and previous plays). But then I felt someone from behind, specially the villain to my left, BU or SB (who covers me) could wake up with a hand. So I decided to flat. Which in hindsight seems like a mistake because had I shoved, I believe villain to my left would have to fold AQs/AQ, 22-1010, given ICM.
Basically I think If I shove, the calling range of big/mid stacks will have to be very tight (maybe JJ+, AK). All this is in hindsight obviously.
This hand turned out to be significant as the Villain to my left (who I felt is a decent reg), chipped up and made the dynamics more difficult for me later.
So my question is this a push/fold spot given the bounty nature and ICM pressure? Or is it OK to flat there and fold to a significant shove from behind (which is what actually happened).
