Fairly early in this $6 satellite. There are 10 winners and I am in 5th place w/ blinds at 55/110.
Form the HJ I think J9s is an okay open with a min raise. CO makes a really large 3bet. I don't know much about Villain but the few hands I have seen, he is pretty tight (VPIP 12% over 63 hands)

Is this just a snap fold?

NL Holdem $6+$0.60 (110.00BB)
UTG_1 (31.6BBs) [VPIP: 16.1% | PFR: 9.7% | AGG: 13.3% | Hands: 32]
UTG (128.7BBs) [VPIP: 39.1% | PFR: 23.9% | AGG: 33.3% | Hands: 47]
HERO (129.2BBs)
CO (79.7BBs) [VPIP: 12.7% | PFR: 9.5% | AGG: 30.8% | Hands: 63]
BTN (94BBs) [VPIP: 38.4% | PFR: 13.7% | AGG: 15.8% | Hands: 73]
SB (94.3BBs) [VPIP: 32.3% | PFR: 12.9% | AGG: 42.9% | Hands: 32]
BB (117.6BBs) [VPIP: 24% | PFR: 16% | AGG: 15.8% | Hands: 50]

Dealt to Hero: 9:diamond: J:diamond:

UTG_1 Folds, UTG Folds, HERO Raises To 2.1BBs, CO Raises To 9.4BBs, BTN Folds, SB Folds, BB Folds, HERO Folds

CO wins: 6.3BBs

Given the opponents sizing, their tight stats over 63 hands and the fact, you are out of position, its an easy fold.

It is an open bottom of range here is J8s ---it is a fold to 3 bet JTs bottom of call range GTO

Satty play is different from GTO so we are playing tighter in satties if we are near the payouts- if not we just let GTO be a guide

Hope this helps

You don't have nearly enough hands to trust those stats. I don't even start classifying players until I have at least 100. And even then with an asterisk. It is also kind of noteworthy that 3 of the players above have VPIPs >30%. Yeah... that's just nuts.

Anyway, assume that CO is as tight as advertised, figure he's only going to be playing 10-15% of hands to start with. A 3bet screams of AA, KK, AK... maybe QQ? And while J9 dodges that card removal that allows a better chance of a straight or 2 pair than normal, it's still not enough to warrant calling the extra money. And suited only gives you another 2.5% as it is.

Let it go.
