5J

Just a sidenote, that at everest blinds are pretty pretty friendly. We started with 100 chips, first blind 0.5/1 for 10 minutes, than 1/2, 1.5/3, 2/4, 3/6, 5/10,10/20.. So at the 50th hand blinds were only 3/6.
And here are the questions:
1. What would you do in this situation? You keep getting trash hands in a sit and go. How many would you play from this list (I know it depends in the situation, but give me just a number, ok? :p )? Even when you call, flop doesn't fit. What's your strategy?
2. What do you think how many people were still in at hand 50?
3. How many hands did I win from the 50?
4. What was my result at the end?

I will post the answers later (last 3 is here just for the fun), now I'm really interested at your oppinions. I'm not here to get some "poor girl, so many bad hands", I need real support playing trash or semi-trash hands. You can make up situations (for ex. when you are the dealer how to play), or whatever you want. Just give some advice  ... Thanks!

p.s.:I know not all the 50 is trash, but it was a good title... ;)

Even when you call, flop doesn't fit. What's your strategy? You have to make your own plays if you are not getting any cards. On the ones I listed to raise you are setting table image. If you do not get the blinds, raise on the flop to push. You can judge further from there whether to continue to play if you have a caller or cards.

2. What do you think how many people were still in at hand 50? Most likely all or maybe one missing

3. How many hands did I win from the 50? Maybe 4

4. What was my result at the end? Knowing how you play I would say in the money but not first if you didn't catch any great hands

1. like you say, position and prior betting would determine, but if you want a number, then 5, plus any you could play out of the blinds cheap

strategy, sit tight and wait for the cards, but i'm no expert, when i win its because i've had good cards, and the best time to get them is nearer the end of a tourney

2. 8 people

3. 2 hands

4. 6th

they were my reasoned answers, but just as likely, it was all but over and you won it

sorry, i can't really help on the theory stuff, my reply is just for fun

Most of this is of course position dependent. In late position almost any hand is playable. K-10 suited, 89 suited, ace-10 are playable for a raise from late position with noone in the pot yet.

If you raise preflop a continuation bet post flop even if you don't hit is usually a positive play. At the least it will give you information. Most flops miss most people most of the time so a bet post flop after a preflop raise tells you opponent "I have a big pair if you didn't hit get out".

1. If I don't hit on the flop I would fold.
2. You had all the crap hands and looks to me someone else would usually hit the flop and knock out another player so my guess as to how many players are left at this stage is 6 maybe 7.
3. You had won 5 hands.
4. And after a long HU:) , you came in 1st:D , well ITM anyway

Well I haven't told you all...
It was a big mistake (what I realized after the tourney begun) that I was playing a 10$ sit and go, with a 50$ 'bankroll'. So I thought maybe I will get some good cards, but no. I played about 7-9 hand.
2. Only 5 player were left! (approx. 43. min) Even it's 10$, they were fishes...
3. I won 1 (one) hand. LOL :D It was number hand 49, when I flopped 2 pairs with 10-7, at that moment I had like 60 chips left, I went all in, and someone called with a flush draw, but I survived it.
4. I finished 3rd, but it was grrrr. I had better hands later on, but when we were down to 3, the 3rd player was short stacked, went all in with AJ, chipleader (not me lol) called with AQ, and a J came, so we were equal, but the next hand he was lucky again, so that was it for me.

Note to self: don't play too big buy-in sit and go compared to your bankroll. In this sit and go, my profit was 10$, but today I played a 2.5$ buy in 10 seater, and I won it so it was 10$ profit also... Maybe I will play some 5$ also, but not this big. I've got just a simple goal to collect 110$ (I started with 20, now I'm at 71) and enter a tourney in the middle of november where 1 in 20 person goes to Spain to a live game... Yeah well. A song came in to my mind from the film 'La Boum' - lol this is on the internet - what a page...:p
