Villain is a reasonably aggressive, solid player. This is probably pretty straightforward, but as played my question is do we have a choice other than shoving the flop? We've got 610 left in a 700 pot. Or should I have just shoved preflop to avoid situations like this?

First round of the shootout, so we're not playing for the money yet.

That 3-bet is way too small to have any fold equity. I think I'd rather stop & go preflop, or just shove. And yeah, with a gutshot & 2 overs this is an insta-shove.

i just shove pre rather than put in a 3 bet since stack size is too awkward to just 3 bet, but now insta shove

Shove preflop, gotcha.

As played I did shove the flop, villain called with QJ
