Hiya toots. I am guessing you didnt have much of a read on this opponent, but I would think he must be holding KJ for the straight. I'm think it is unlikely that he has another A as with such a big bet on the river he would have probably bet earlier with the Ace. I think it was a good fold early in the tournament.

You should have probably bet on the flop to see where you were as there was 500 chips in the middle a bet 1/2 pot would be about right? However you didnt and therefore you could have raised on the turn. The 120 bet was a bit small and there a raise would have probably taken it down.

Gl with the tourney and let us know how it goes.....all the best :D:D:D

We should not be checking back flop in a 4 way pot. There are hands we want to get value from (mainly queens), and we also need to charge any nonsense gutshot someone could be holding.

As played, river is a fold. His line makes no sense as a bluff, so we can't call. Villains line looks like he backdoored into the straight and is now hoping to get called by someone like you that's stuck with a slow-played ace.

bet or raise at some point before the river, as played you pretty much have to call it off here, if he has better so be it. But the main thing is to play these a little faster before the river, people will spew will all sorts of hands, and we want to get value from all their draws and queens.

Letting them catch up is viable, but not for two streets. And the thing is, what can hit that they will be happy with on this flop? like if they have Kx and they hit a K on turn, they still won't play a huge pot, so we're trying to let them catch up for more value, when in reality there really isn't much.

so ya, bet to extract value from draws and worse Qx, Ax will be a cooler for both parties, and if he hits a straight on the river we are destined to go broke anyways, since he would have had to call two big bets to see the river card.
