$4.40 180 Man Sng...Time to Steal

All the players that have limped are quite tight...with nobody ranging higher than 22/17/1.2...The table has been pretty tight, and I so I have I. The only thing I have shown down is kk, and I haven't been really stealing peoples blinds. Is this a good opportunity to pick up some chips and if so how much should I be raising?

In these situations especially just before the bubble a 3x or 4x raise is pretty effective with blind stealing, if there are 3 or 4 limpers as above I'd say you really need to go 4x or higher if you want them to fold. And usually, if they've been playing a small range you have pretty good info from them to consider on the flop.

The only problem to your stealing is the SB, being so short stacked he has to be looking to make a move a some point and with all the limpers would be a pretty good time. In order to make legit steal attempt you should raise to 900 3xbb+1bb per limper which will put the sb all in if calls and you will have to show down your weak stealing cards.

I would rather see you limp here and make a delayed steal on the flop or turn if possible, you don't always have to steal preflop.

I have to agree with steveg1976, with the sb so short, he is very capable of pushing. I'd wait to steal another time.

ok i never seen tourney get so dam tight they shove with AK - QQ if you want to steal you wait till some thing good . i got three place and he shove pre folp all in AK i had pocket tens at final table it really tight so i steal with king or ace high hand rags
