#1: Call
#2: That's a tough one. You have to assume that your only way out is the flush which gives you about 40% equity. OTOH, it's for your tournament life and you didn't say how close to (or in) the money you were. I hate blowing up 60bb on this. Also, the 3-bet pre would have scared me away pre-flop. It only got worse when the others called. Someone has KK there. Or at least AK—possibly with hearts.

I would have bailed pre but it is definitely not a good situation on the flop.

[Gonna go watch the vids now]

OK... the 3-bet on hand 1 was a little ballsy (and ill-advised, I believe). But when you had top pair on the flop, taking it down was a good idea.

On #2, seeing the crap that was going on, I instantly checked and confirmed that this was a low buy-in tournament where splashy bad play stuff is going to happen. A little different from the $200-1500 tournaments I play.

Hand 1: Given the stacks where we are large and the opening villain is much shorter than us and the BB is somewhat short (at 30BBs) I like 3 betting here. It will make the BB decide to either put it in or fold (I think we can call with 1010) and it deters the player to our left that has position on us from getting in the hand. It will narrow the range of opening villain as well and if they jam then it becomes close imo and would depend on what we know about them. If stacks were more even or we had less chips then I think calling is better but given we have the most chips here and we are in a bounty with a good hand I think we should be aggressive.

Hand 2: Fold pre as QJ looks like a nice hand but villain has already raised and there are still opponents left to act behind. QJ suited is not strong enough to stand up to large amounts of pressure especially when you are still somewhat deep.
