This hand had me stumped, i feel as though i should have been calling this, although it just did not seem as though it was the best spot to be getting my money in, although i was eliminated roughly 19 hands later on this hand;

At the first hand I think it was a good fold. I think button had a pair in hand (all under 77), so there is a big chance that he got a set, maybe overpair. You had 48BBs, so it was a moderate loss of your chips.

At the second hand...I think it was a good call. You put 4bbs in the pot before the reraiseallin...so 17BBs left before you. With 17BBs you will be soon forced to play fold/shove play, so call is a good choice.

We have 57% equity vs that range.

I'm not sure why people are so afraid of sets. Like, do you have any idea how effing rare sets are?

I agree with this, you have a huge equity in this board and don't forget that this is a $3 buy-in tourney and villian has a VPIP of 40 after 56 hands.

Also, he's got a big stack and got you covered by far, so his hand isn't always as strong as you would think because in most case scenarios he'll be expecting for you to fold, but he won't mind to gamble that flop if you call.

Hand N°2 is always a call, perfect spot to put your money in with 21BB left.
