$3 NL HE: $$3 NL HE: Short stacked still two places from $

I run into this kind of a situation often enough.

Depending on circumstances, I will fold AJo from UTG. (too tight?)

Here, I felt like I had to play it so I popped the 3xBB raise and get the caller.

Not much on the flop, so when he basically puts me all in, do I call here and pray that the A high is the best hand (like I did)?

I really don't know. Folding here leaves me hopelessly short (if I wasn't before), and I wonder if it's correct here to just call and look for a little luck.

with a stack of less than 10BB just openshove even from UTG with AJ as the blinds will hit u soon and u probably wont see a better hand than AJ. Openshoving would have made the 10 8 fold (dependinging on how crazy he was he may have called anyway) and u dont run the risk of being outflopped and u win 775 chips risk free which is a lot in relation too ur stack

Yeah, the shove did occur to me, but I have been trying to find a balance between a big enough raise to accomplish what I need as opposed to pushing all in.

Might have been better here, I agree.

Your M is less than 4, open shove this. It maximizes the fold equity you have left, and also prevents you from becoming a victim of a stop-n-go when the flop is dry.

Pretty much open shove. As played, yea, i think you have to call all in here because the blinds are on you next.

2 trains of thought on this:
1: You are 2 spots from the money - stall, fold, stall your blinds, fold and sneak in the money then pick a good hand and shove in an attempt to get some chips.
2: All In preflop - you are short stack and don't really want a caller from ep with AJos.

*Either way, do not entice callers with this hand - especially from ep and short stacked.

You have to open shove here. You can't raise and then fold to a reraise preflop.... right??... so just shove it allin. It'll obviously give you two ways in which to win the hand.... they'll fold... .or someone calls and your AJ might be in decent shape to win the hand.

Blinds are also on you next.
