should i have called this AI pre-flop with sitting pretty to make the money or make the call i did? the guy was playing loose the entire tournament, in an earlier hand he raised all-in in mp with 10 J off suit.

Whether or not to play the hand depends on what type of edge you want to have to risk half your stack to call an all in bet. If you like to be involved in coin flips to 60/40 advantages, then your call was fine. Personally, I will only make this call either for a small portion of my stack or if I have a below average stack and can't afford to wait too much longer to make a move.

I agree with FatBasset. Although your hand was strong, the risks involved were quite large - over half your stack. Unlucky dude... better luck next time :p

Make the call every time. Double-fist pump instacall. If you're not going to call shortstack all-ins with AK you might as well quit playing tournament poker. At worst you're a coinflip; most of them time you will be crushing their Ax/Kx.
