$3.30 NLHE MTT Deep Stacked Rebuy: $3,30 NLHE MTT Deep Stacked Rebuy: stars 3,30 rebuy, playing 7-7, did I go wrong

Ok, this guy was only 7 hands at my table, but involved in 5 of them, in which he check/folded some and in 1 continuated his hand c-betting and winning the pot without showdown.
So, no real sense about his play.
It seems I have some trouble converting hands the regular way, so I use a screenshot from my replayer.

In the first shot he raises to 1200 (3 x BB).
So what do I do with my sevens, fold, call, reraise ?

Seems like a decent hand to fire a small 3bet with. Stack sizes mean that calling purely for set-mining is a viable option as well...but I prefer the more aggressive approach a lot of the time. Especially when you're OOP.

Going with a 3bet here also has a few secondary purposes: sends a message to not steal your blinds and helps you see how this player reacts to 3bets. Getting that info on a person fairly early can pay back huge dividends later in the session.

Well, that's what I did.
Seeing him folding to c-bets, I thought I could give it a try, so I 3bet 1800 to 3000.

10058765: raises 1800 to 3000
LouisPepe: folds
prodros: calls 1800
*** FLOP *** [7d 5d Js]

So here I hit my set and with 6850 in the pot I'm first to act.
What do I do ?
Take the lead ,check-call or check-raise ?

Keep betting, if he's chasing a draw he'll call a pot sized bet as well as a 1/2 pot bet and a pot sized bet allows you to get your whole stack in after the turn.

well, actually I checked with the intention to c/r.
This is what happened:

10058765: checks
prodros: bets 4000
10058765: raises 6000 to 10000
prodros: calls 6000
*** TURN *** [7d 5d Js] [Qs]

So again I'm first to act with 26850 in the pot.
What do I do ?

Seems like an awesome card for you. I prefer leading the flop more with a half-pot bet or so. Let's you just build and fire for 3 streets if it comes down to it.

On the turn here I might lead for around 10k...maybe 10500 just hoping he calls and basically commits himself. The queen is a very good card for you really. It's a tough bet-size because you only have a pot-sized bet left...a slightly larger c/r on the flop would probably have made open-shoving here much easier. As is the open shove probably scares the villain away.

I think you have to bet the flop, not just because you have a monster but because he knows you have seen him fold when faced with agression. This is also assuming he is thinking...which is a big stretch.

I think betting $15k on the turn is good, so that you can get some value out of any of his draws. I would think the Q is a blank.

Both you and your opponent have ~T$25K left with the pot larger than that. Your opponent has called your preflop 3-bet and your flop check-raise therefore you can just shove here on the turn as this opponent will never be folding.

Ok, I didn't lead the flop, bc I was pretty sure he would bet, so I could cr.
About the turn, you say about 10K-10,5K, Homebrewer says about 15K and Jilly says shove AI.
Probably should have done the latter, bc already having so much invested in the pot, however I bet 11400 on the turn.
This is what happened:

*** TURN *** [7d 5d Js] [Qs]
10058765: bets 11400
prodros: raises 14837 to 26237 and is all-in

Any thoughts ? Can I ever get away with this hand, having invested so much ?
I mean I have little less than 14 K left, which is still slightly enough to work with if I fold.

You are pot-committed at this point, stick the rest in. Worst case scenario is that you're facing a set of J's which is possible. Most of the time you're good here. I put him on a set of 5s.

Him shoving over the top of your bet is exactly what you wanted to happen. If he shows QQ or JJ it's just a cooler...but there are quite a few other hands he might do something silly here with. AdQd, some QJs, maybe a diamond draw that picked up a straight draw, etc. Get your money in the pot with a grin on your face.

Ok, I guess I didn't play it optimal nor completely wrong.
I called the shove, and well....I'll post the final result in the brag and beat section within a few minutes.
Take a look at it.
I promise it's worth it, both the final result and the chat after this hand which I'll add in the thread.
Thanks tou all for replying in this one.
