$3.30 NLHE MTT Deep Stacked Bounty Turbo: Botched steal attempt from the SB

This is 90 person KO tourney. Top 9 paid, maybe 20 left or so.

BB was a better than average player in this field I'd say. Also seen him defend his blind at least once before. I figure Q9o is slightly better than a random hand so decide to steal.

Any thoughts on this? Should I raise more than 2.5x to steal here? Min-raise to keep pot smaller? Complete, or just give him a walk? On the flop do you bother c-betting?

not a big fan of the preflop raise Sizing. I would make it 1500/1800 or whatever your standard sizing has been.

Prett weird spot on the flop. The board is pretty dry and most good starting hands would 3-bet us here if villian is pretty defensive of his blind, so his calling range does well on this flop. Therefore I dont really like the c-bet as when villian shoves we have 2:1 on a call. I just c/fold here. May seem a little weak/tight but we are stealing and then turning our hand into a bluff on the flop.

If villian has nothing he will be inclined to check it back if we check the flop or raise our bet to bluff us out if we c-bet.

On that, there may be something weird about the hand conversion. I did make it 1500, even though it says I "raised to 1200" it means I raised 1200 to 1500 (you can see the BB calls 900 more).

Limp and go could work with these stack sizes and he seems to have a good AF for it too.

Yes there were antes, 75. Also just noticed the hand converter missed a player, we were 6 handed at this table (hence the "4 folds" I guess). So yeah, initial pot was 1350.
