full tilt poker $2 + $0.25 No Limit Hold'em Tournament - t30/t60 Blinds - 9 players -

MP1: t1410 M = 15.67
MP2: t1450 M = 16.11 (15/0/50) thru 13
CO: t2285 M = 25.39
BTN: t1301 M = 14.46
SB: t660 M = 7.33
BB: t1380 M = 15.33
UTG: t1530 M = 17 (8/0/0) thru 13
UTG+1: t1134 M = 12.60
Hero (UTG+2): t2350 M = 26.11 (15/0/100) thru 13

Pre Flop: (t90) Hero is UTG+2 with A :club: A
UTG raises to t240, 1 fold, Hero calls t240, 1 fold, MP2 raises to t1450 all in, 4 folds, UTG raises to t1530 all in, Hero calls t1290

Flop: (t4600) 8 :spade: 9 :spade: 7 :club:

Turn: (t4600) Q :spade:

River: (t4600) 5 :diamond:

Any comments or suggestions how to play this AA differently?

Probably reraise him. Just because you don't wanna slow play aces in a sng and it was a tightish player raised preflop from UTG. 3bet him and see if he can fold high pair or ak.

I don't like flat calling here to induce more action as our stack isn't deep enough yet. If you had 3500+ then yeah flat call to induce action behind you. I would have raise to 750 here and if those behind still wanted action then so be it.

I agree with 3-betting, but not for this reason. If we have AA, why wouldn't we want JJ+ or AK to play with us? We raise this for value, i.e. worse hands call us.

I would raise to isolate the UTG opponent, against whom we have like 85% equity, rather than flat, thus encouraging more callers behind us, and have our equity drop. I don't you can count on a squeeze here, because I would think most of these players are passive, not aggressive.

you got it in 3 ways, you should be dancing around the room singing happily..
if you had some sort of read that the players behind you are really aggressive, then this move is good. if not, then just raise the guy. hes super tight and at these levels, he will always call if not repop you, the problem with flatting is it give him a chance to play perfectly postflop IE check fold 10's when the board comes QKA. i make a small raise to like 5-600 and allow him to shove over.

i do like your thinking though, inducing action with monsters is a good thing..

After flop you might say all-in, if he have bigger pair or will be waiting for a draw,he probably will call, if he doesn't he will fold.

Thanks for the input guys. They wound up having KK and JJ and I tripled up and eventually took down the sng.
