$2 NL HE Turbo: 180 MTT tourney need help!

Ok, so I was pretty certain this guy didn't have an ace, especially after the 2xbb bet on the flop, after hesitating for 5 secs. Then the check on the turn made me more sure of it....Should I have raised more after that turn? he was big stack at the table, and getting some decent luck... he had flopped a nut straight already....i guess i ****ed myself over with my all in at the end....should have just checked or minimum bet....deff something to remember...

Fold KQo preflop from UTG+1, if you feel you need to play it then raise
Turn you needed to bet more, 650-700

Next time please don't post the results as it taints the analysis and for this reason I can't comment on river action.

Pre-flop im folding KQ from UTG+1, its weak easily dominated hand i hate playing out of postion.
If your gonna play it you have to raise pre-flop. Limping is bad imo.
Dont mind how u played the flop but im checking behind on the turn every time, the board isnt very drawy(excepted for the spade FD and JT str8D) and most of the time your only geting called by hands that beat u.
The river i probably also check behind. Villains plays his hand like a A-rag and JT is also probably in his range. To thine to value bet river imo.

Please convert your hand in the future.

hmmmm I'll check out that stox converter....thanks for the help, I should have read about needing to convert the hand. I'll do it next time..

I very much appreciate your help. can I ask one question though? and I can prlly find this answer somewhere else, but if you could answer me here that would be nice :)...

when you say UTG+1 what does that exactly mean? I assume it means 1 seat behind the BB, but what does the abbreviation actually mean?...

thanks for you help again :)....I've got lots to learn I see.

UTG-UnderTheGun
So UTG+1 is on the direct left of UTG.
CO-Cut Off,right of the button
BU-Button.

Just past the HH in there and u get it in a much better format and it hides the players names

You need to put in some kind of a raise preflop. On top of that on turn you need to take a stand if you are sure he doesnt have an ace. Based on his play it looked like he was on a draw to me which means you need to put pressure on him and make him fold his draw but instead he drew out.

first off you limped 2nd to act. not a very good start to the hand because you allow more players behind you to get in on the action and you would end up out of position.

Like said before limping is not good here. With 13BB and a M=9 it is classic push or fold.
With KQo and 13,8BB left I would only play if I was sitting in the SB. In all other cases, like in this one, I would fold.

However, if you were so certain that villian did not had an ace why did you not reraise him? Okay, the turn made you more sure of it. But there you only bet 300 in a pot of 1050. Thats definatly too little. At least half the pot, even better 2/3 of the pot.

Your bet on the river is most likely only called by a hand that dominates yours.

So you allways need to ask yourself what you want to achieve with a bet.

Why did you go all in with KQ. You should just check behind on the river. IF you got a smal stack push All in preflop .

If you were sure he didnt have an ace on the flop then i would have at least doubled the bet.. If you see yourself pushing on this hand then it would obviously have been better to push early. Not much you could have done after.. Some people drown on the river!
