$2 NL HE STT Turbo: Folding QQ after 3 bet pre...
This is my one hand for today- I just had to post it because it was driving me nuts. Villain was tight, 17/0 after 29 hands, had not made a single preflop raise or 3bet. I get QQ in the SB, villain limps in the CO and I make a standard raise to a little less than 3x. Then villain just shoves over the top. He had 2000 chips left with blinds at 60/120- he was in no hurry to make a move. If i folded, I would still be left with about 2300 chips. Normally I snap call in these situations, but the combination of 1) villain's tightness 2) his abundant chip stack and 3) the limp/shove move and 4) the fact I would still be in good shape if I folded, made me fold this here.
I thought very hard about what hands other than KK or AA that villain would play like this. AK or JJ maybe, but would he really limp with those hands? Some players limp w/ TT but I felt like he would call to see a flop first, especially since he has so many chips left...
Anyway, I'll leave it to the forum. Overnitty fold or smart laydown?
