I probably let this one go. It is half my stack and AJ is only occasinally ahead, and often far behind.

Position matters quite a bit here, though. For instance if it folded to the CO or BTN who jammed for half my stack and I have AJ in the SB or BB then I'm definitely getting it all in...

Folding this every time, really have to consider position in a spot like this, his range is still really, really narrow UTG with 9bbs, AJ is just gunna be dominated too many times.

Calling is fine here, you are going to be ahead of an UTG shove range and you can profitably "flip" from this spot, unless villain is a total nit easy reshove here.

Unless you got a very good read on the villain,

I think this one should be a fold plus you were also OOP.

Blinds are too high, table is short handed (7 players) and the structure is turbo which is relatively fast so getting it in here with AJ is a better option than folding. We just cannot keep folding such strong hands and wait for AK.

ok whether this was a fold or call is debatable but err .. "you were also OOP" ??

"silly joe". :viking:

Yep snap shove. He stats look good. Likely he knows to shove wide here. Having a read that hes a good player helps here but I dafault to getting this in. The only issue is that there are players to act behind so I woudnt go too much wider but 77 ats kq should be all good to rejam here.

Edit-using phone so you will have to get over all the spelling errors and typos :)

This. Good post WiZ and bolded part I think is a very important and often overlooked part of the game.

I think it's very important to realise this too. I often see players look down see an UTG shove of 7bb see we have a hand like that's profitable vs his range but over play and ISO shove to wide. Obviously AJ here fine here, we're ahead here and our hand is strong enough to ISO. However, for example; hands we should call in LP like 44 55 or even A4s vs his shoving range all become a folds here even when we're ahead of his shoving range purely just based on positions. I think your ISO range is spot on here, although I think I'd also add 66 in there.
