$2.25 PL O STT: 1st hand of SNG - Which move is best here: 3-bet pot or just flat?

It's the 1st hand of the SNG & I have no stats on villain(s). The main reason I'm confused if this was the right move to make is because it's sooo early in the STT (1st fkn hand). The standard 3x the BB raise by the SB seemed really weak to me.

So, I have a couple ?'s.

Should I be risking this many chips this early w/ this hand?

Does the limp re-raise from EP make me look stronger or weaker here?

1 fold, UTG+1 calls t30, Hero calls t30, 4 folds, SB raises to t90, 1 fold, UTG+1 calls t60, Hero raises to t390 <---- correct move or no? Why or why not?

That is a pre flop monster.

Your CALL was a terrible mistake IMO. You want to fold as much crap out as possible since you are in early position. You need to have potted it.

Though I am not likely to play too fast pre flop in PLO that hand is one I would be ready to commit with even pre flop. I would repot to any raise after potting it the first time.

As played I think your raise is good, and looks either very strong or monumentally stupid to me as a villain on the first hand of the tourney. I wouldn't want to be in against it without a hand as powerful as the one you have.

If this is a low buyin tourney and the early players are less likely to fold, I might play one notch slower.

umm limp reraising to me, makes you look like a fish TBH... thats how i would probably label you as if your unknown..

id like to just raise firstly pre.. but i like the reraise. id be quite happy getting it in with your hand.. double suited broadway.. doesnt get much better really..

Yea, I knew it was bad to limp w/ this strong of a hand in EP, it's bad to limp any time. But, I know how raise happy these fools are & if I had been the 1st to raise, I'm not sure I'd be able to get it in pre like I was able to accomplish by the limp re-raise.

I'd have 2 for sure (being UTG+1 had called) maybe 3 more opponents in the pot for only 90 chips seeing a flop instead of being HU & gettin' max value for my hand like I was able to do here. JMO

In other words, I knew what I was doing, HaHa.

SB raises to t1290, UTG+1 requests TIME, 1 fold, Hero raises to t1500 all in, SB calls t210 all in

Flop: (t3120) 6:heart: 4:spade: 7:heart:

Turn: (t3120) Q:heart:

River: (t3120) 5:heart:

Final Pot: t3120
SB shows K:diamond: 8:club: A:diamond: A:spade: (a pair of Aces)
Hero shows J:spade: K:heart: Q:spade: A:heart: (a flush, Ace high)
Hero wins t3120
