Just x/c the turn and evaluate the river. Really dislike the turn lead, we don't need to be scared of diamonds. It's not uncommon for someone to over play JJ/QQ/KK/AA in this spot at this level. Given the way the hand turned out and that he's opening UTG; I just don't know if there are many bluffs in his range, he's either a bad player who's over playing JJ+ or there is 22+/AQ/KQ being a big part of his UTG range which obviously have us crushed.

Against his value range of hands 22+/JJ+/AQ/KQ/QJ and "maybe" a hand like AKdd we are in bad shape and I just see little to no bluffs other than him unknowingly turning hands like over pairs into bluffs which I just can't see all that often. They would likely just flat call the river bet, not raise.. As the hand played out though I think folding would be ok.

Is there any reason to call river ?I just cant get over this over bet!!!
Why sould i not feel worried about diamands? then i should call the river he cant have flush so 99+ is it in his range and he could bet and think he beats me.

I'd call if I knew more about the opponent. Like I say; does he overplay hands like over pairs here? If he was terrible; I'd likely call. If he's half decent, he's never likely bluffing.

By the river; he almost never has diamonds mainly because he's very unlikely to raise your river bet given there's no value hands that are worse than his he can raise and expect to be called by. Like; for example you're never going to bet river and call a raise with random diamond hands, well I hope you wouldn't so I'd just expect him to show up with hands that beat you nearly always here.

99 is very unlikely to play like this. The only hands that raise are; 22,33,66,AQ,KQ - all of which have you beat. Going back to what I was saying though - if you think he is capable of playing KK/AA like this because he's bad and just thinks "I have AA I'm all in regardless!" then maybe we can call but I seriously don't think he has KK/AA here often enough to play it like this to make calling good.

I think it was a good fold. It's likely that he had a full or flush. I guess it happened after rebuy period. If not, it can be a cold bluff but more likely you were beat IMO.

Yeah for sure, during the rebuy period this is never a fold. To be honest, I never realised this was a rebuy tournament and if this is the $2.00 turbo, I imagine we are still in the rebuy (usually these have 90mins late reg)period given the blind level in which case, this is a call.

Well, nothing has changed from the turn to the river unless he has exactly 66 (unlikely). So I would mostly think he is value betting, and occasionally overplaying AA or KK but I don't think he thinks he is bluffing.

It's probably a fold here, unless you have a read.
