Unless you have a very very solid read on this opponent and have reason to put him on a bluff then for me its an easy fold there. The board brought the last three things u want to see a pair on board giving someone trips and the only two over cards in the deck and your drawing pretty thin on improving. Dont know what the results are but for me its an easy fold.

folded that one, but flopped ace high flush next hand, only to be knocked out when someone hit their straight flush on the river

Well in my opinion i might have just called this raise and would have wanted 2 see what the flop was for a cheaper price considering it was only you and him left in the hand. Other wise your move would have been to push in. I would have folded because he was playing his ace very strong on a bluff there he would be a maniac.

Definitely a fold. I end up running into this situation at least once a day when im putting in a long session. I almost always fold it.

Based on the pot size i would have called the flop bet just to see another card, but that turn is an instant fold for me. He may have a smaller poker pair here and was thinking you were stealing, but its never really worth it for me to pay to find out with a board like that.
