$11 NL HE STT: 99 on bubble with micro stack all in

This was the longest bubble I had ever played in a sng lol. Almost every shove was folded to until the previous hand where victor got called and lost most of his stack. None of them are strong sng players. Lots of limping going on. Kintgord had limp-folded a couple of times with way less than 10bb's.

net32 = 16/7 (vpip/pfr)
kintgord = 29/3

New to sngos, but...you're unlikely to bubble, would need to be called and beaten by both the sb and the allin player, so you shove for the dead money. Either the bb folds and is crippled, or you have a good chance of koing him now and getting hu with even stacks to play for the win. Isolating and losing to the allin player isn't even a concern, as he's only in for 720 of the pot and would be allin again immediately, only worry is getting called by the sb who will be folding a very high % of hands.

I like pushing all-in here. Sure there are two obvious risks with pushing. You could save the shortstack, and net32 could wake up with a monster, but you will be a 70% favourite vs victrops range, and pushing will look superstrong, so you will get huge fold equity vs the players behind you.

Lets look at all different outcomes:
1. You push everyone else gets out of the way, and you win.
2. You push everyone else gets out of the way and you lose.
3. You push, and get called by net32
4. kintgord calls you.

I would think net32 will call you around 2% of the time, and kintgord probably call you around 1% of the time.

Well in my eyes its just too good a hand to fold, and if you just call with it, it will lose lots of value.

Others will think differently, I know :)

Agreed, you have great FE still with both stacks and they both should see you as a tight player.

i should go into a bit more detail i guess...

its a very easy shove dakota.. id be shoving a really wide range here... if the blinds fold. which they do a very high % of the time then we pick up free chips.. and it doesnt matter really if we double the small stack up..
the only concern is the SB calling us.. but if he does.. we assume he has any hand we have is crushed QQ+ AK. etc. anyways in a nutshell. its very unlikely that were bubbling in this spot.. so id take up this chance at a very +ev situation.

the only way this wouldnt be a good shove is if the bigger stack is really loose.. but even then, 99's are a shove..

if hes tight im shoving like 70% of hands.. if hes looser.. something like 40% seems about right.. the bb really isnt much of a concern for us. so were not really worried about overcalls..

Also its a funny spot. if the CO folds then this hand is very close to a fold.. id more than likely just min raise it.. call a shove from the bb and fold to the sb shove..

just to confirm it with the wiz

If the blinds are good players, they're only calling with QQ+ here, maybe only KK+. They can't afford to get knocked out if the micro stack somehow survives. I think we can shove with this in mind.

i think you can shove here or make it 1200 and call off to a resteal from either two players. net32 seems to be a semi solid reg not sure if he's the type to reshove ATC here or not. But either way you got the short stack covered and they would have to survive 2 players if this turn out to be a 3 way pot. I dont think making it 1200 then folding to net32 is a terible play either you still have a solid 2nd place and maybe even be itm if the shorty gets stacked. But I think a shove is better than raise/folding here.

Everyone is right, it's an easy shove.
With limper's you can't take them for a real hand..

Let me guess, you shoved and he had Ax...

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I did shove and bb had KK and the micro stack had an A so I went out in 4th. I posted this because my sweet hubby said I should have never shoved in that spot. I didn't even think twice about it and thought he was being results oriented...but then I started 2nd guessing myself and needed you guys to justify my decision lol. (btw my hubby does not play sng's at all)

Yeah 9/10 times you'll get the micro stack heads-up, and the other time when you're multi-way you'll still KO the micro-stack in 4th. Just bad luck imo :(

yeah in this situation shove is ok, so is fold for that matter, calling is atrocius. the results don't matter, because 9 times outta 10, you are best four handed, and will isolate the bubble boy, who is not a great threat to your tourney life. You ran into a monster which happens... but even with the monster here you can catch your set. Shove and lol at KK and then register for your next SnG, knowing you played it good.
