If this was on the bubble or the final table, I can see finding a fold, especially because you opened with 7 players left to act behind you. So he should not be attacking you as wide as, if you opened from late position. But if its early in the tournament or in the money but far from the final table, then AQs is a marginal but ok call. Without info we cant assume, he is only 3-betting super premium hands like QQ+, AK, even though this time he was.
