Thank you for posting.

GTO charts has 88 as a call 80% or shove no folding. So your play was fine.

Just as a study point here the QQ betting half pot is not the best sizing-it makes your jam easy and pot commits the QQ. This is a spot for the smaller bet size

We have AQ-ATs 99 in our call 3 bet range as well JTs but GTO has us shoving preflop with TT JJ and folding most X9 hands even A9s So the QQ is behind our value jams and 55 45 vs our nut strong draws.

Hope this helps

The issue with calling here is, it creates an SPR of just around 1,5, and a hand like 88 does not play well with such a low SPR. Of course life is nice and easy, when we flop a set. But most of the time we dont, and then we are left with a hand, thats basically a bluffcatcher, even if we flop an overpair or a slight underpair on a board like 972 or T65. So personally I lean towards either folding or 4-bet jamming, depending on how wide I think, his 3-betting range is, and near the bubble I would definitely lean more towards a fold.

As for eetenors GTO charts they likely dont take ICM into account, since it would be to complicated, and then they are only a chip EV solution. Also what stack size are they based on? Small to medium pairs play way better with deeper stacks, so a 100BB chart will look different from a 30BB chart. Finally solvers sometimes make unprofitable plays to protect other parts of their range, and against more or less unknown opponents in a big MTT we rarely need to worry about getting exploited, just because we might be slightly overfolding in some spots.
