$11 NLHE MTT: Fairly deep in micromillons with an overpair on a drawy board readless.

I don't like any option tbh. Flatting seems bad, raising seems bad and calling seems bad. I have no idea what to do. His flat pre makes me think he can have 99-QQ that wants to play a pot in position, mayke a hand like AKs/AQs. So his raise he can have AKhh/AQhh, maybe a set of 9s or a better overpair. There are so many cards that suck and we can get pushed off the best hand if we call. If we raise he shoves and we're a huge dog to his range imo. What would you do and why do you think it's best?

I think his flat pre- can be a lot wider since he's only being asked to call 1856 into a pot of 6000+. Getting over 3:1 and with this amount being pretty affordable given his stack size, I'd expect him to call with a large proportion of his opening range.

That he only min-raised initially might be meaningful. Has he done this before?

I think I prefer either making it more, maybe 3 to 3.5 x his bet since I'm OOP, or calling to set mine given that he has over 20 the call amount behind. His min-bet is at least a little suspicious plus I won't like my options if I raise and he 4bets. And being the big stack at the table, I can be selective as to when I want to play large pots. So while I don't love calling, I'd tend to lean in that direction.

As played, I probably bet about 4.5 - 5k on the flop and fold if he shows strength.

thought 2/2.5x in tourneys was standard for an open?

wondering why you're making so much out of the open sizing, 3 bet could be a bit bigger Blue but that's not the reason you posted so I guess it doesn't matter too much.

doesn't your perceived range have a lot of air in it though Blue? he could be semi-bluffing worse pair + draw hands and bare heart draws so I probably stack tbh.

doubtful we see a bigger over pair too often imo.

I planned on gii pre. 6-max Vs a CO open and 37bb deep I was happy enough ton stack. Also I don't want to call and have to play the rest of the hand without initiative and OOP.

he is 46bb deep, you are deeper, i dont think even readless you can assume he can get much worse in. Id much rather flat and keep his range wider postflop even out of position

So he is, hard to believe I have an A-level in maths lol. I was probably just too paranoid about playing OOP and not contesting the pot on enough boards.
