No reads or stats on villain?

Not a fan of SCs below 54s and would probably fold pre even to a minraise here.

I'd c/r flop, you have the low end of a straight so slowplaying is bad (it's often called the idiot end). Villain's overbet says 1/ he sucks and 2/ he likes his hand so play it hard while you're ahead.

If you're going to c/c flop you should really, really lead the turn.

c/r gii on flop, he isnt folding when he overbets

I usually would fold this hand pre-flop - it was a true exception - (just a gutt instinct I did listen to) that I called the min bet.

However after the flop... and again I am really very seldom slow play - maybe 5% of the time given the opportunity, in this case it was not the small str8 - but the value of the str8 draw that gave me the confidence to slow play.

Was that thought really flawed?
