So this hand cropped up. I was up against the chip leader, quite a big stack too. Anyway, he had stupid stats, I had 25 hands on him and he had 40/22 or something, played nearly every hand and dog awful cards at that.

I his my top pair with a flush draw out there, now I'm first to act and 9times out of 10 I bet this flop just under pot sized bet but because this guy literally went to show down with awful cards and bet most flops I was so confident he would bet out. Anyway, as it went he checked, which wasn't good and I preyed for spade and low and behold and spade hits. Now I know I have to make a move here and I bet he shoves me..I fold..

I think this was a bad fold in the end but I'm unsure, it really wouldn't of surprised me if he flipped over spades.

My question is, with a player like this, should I of just led out? I wanted him to bet the flop and I could shove him but didn't pan out like that..

How would you of played this vs him? I believe now after looking at the hand again, this was a bad fold most likely but I'm not a big fan of getting it all-in on a flushy board when I still have a fair few blinds left..the problem is is his min raise, kind of sets of alarm bells of him wanting me to call/shove him. However, should I not of bet out if my intention was to fold to a re raise here? I know the hand was poorly played in most cases as soon as I checked the flop to start with.

On another note, I can't seem to convert the hands properly. It says "hand history format not known" Anyone know why this is and how I can fix it?

I also know he most likely was trying to buy the pot at this point...so again...wtf. argg what a horrible spot, maybe most people would shove this guy quite easily but I wasn't to confident.

I'd bet flop (small enough to let him spaz out, big enough to price out the possible flush draw ~480) but as played I'd jam turn.
I was thinking of jamming pre but i'm not sure I like getting 50BB in with AQo but playing a 1100 pot with a 2800 stack is awkward also.

Also converted it to make it clearer.

Pretty tough spot here. We have a maniac who reraised your initial raise from early position. Although villain may be a maniac, I do still tend to give respect to 3-bets. I would have cbet the flop around half the pot to get an idea of where I was since if this player was bad, he may fold right there. The next spade was a bad card for us and since we are out of position, I would check/fold the turn.
