I suppose it's all my fault for continuing to subject myself to this torture by participating in these nickel and dime (literally) tournaments.

I pride myself as being a very patient and calm poker player. But things like this drive me over the edge. After making a few rude comments at the end of the hand, other non-involved players said if I really did have pocket 8's then I was a moron for folding....

Am I really a moron? I'm pretty sure I wasn't commited to the pot. Why would I call away the rest of my chips, when I know i'm beat.....?

Of course you weren't a moron for folding, opponent played laughably, such a shame you didn't have a K or a 3.

But there's no point getting upset about idiot plays, you shouldn't show players the errors of their ways, and why tell the table that you had pocket 8's?

"Experts" play 10 cent tournaments and berate others for their "poor" play. Better players stay silent, and play at higher levels for some reason?

Yea nothing wrong with folding. The guy is an absolute retard for betting into a dry side pot where he is basically playing the board. Just tell him to stfu and congratulate him for losing the pot while allowing another player to stay in the tournament. Never ever tell anybody your cards...you gain absolutely nothing out of it. In fact, I'd advise you to turn off chat, or just not to respond to players as that should help you keep your cool better.

Agree on the showing cards and chat. The only online places I show cards and use chat are CC events. All others I enable the Auto Muck and disable chat. When playing live I will show cards only in very specific spots for meta-game reasons.
