Full Tilt - $1+0.10 $1 + $0.10 Sit & Go (#204661938) - Blinds: 150/300 No Limit Hold'em (9 players)
Full Tilt Hand Converter Tool from CardsChat.com
SB Hero: $5620
BB: $591
UTG: $7920
MP: $4500
MP+1: $13304
MP+2: $17067
LP: $2990
CO: $1250
BTN: $14258
Pre-flop: ($450) Hero is SB and dealt :ac4: :js4:
6 folds, BTN raises to $600, Hero calls $450, BB calls $291 (All-in)
Flop: ($1791) :4d4: :qh4: :ad4: (3 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $600, Hero raises to $5020 (All-in), BTN calls $4420

Looking back at this my thinking now is I should have shoved pre flop and let the villain make a decision there. The situation is that there are 9 left in the tourney and 6 get paid so we're on the bubble. Thoughts welcome.

preflop call looks fine. No need to overshove 30 BB.

as played I make it 1800 on the flop with the intention of getting it in. obv just coolered.

Maybe. Villain turned over A4 to make two pair. Maybe this is one of those where the play was correct all round and this is just one of those things? On an Ace high board I figured that on the balance of the villains likely range range I would be ahead. I wanted to be aggressive around the bubble and ran into a better hand. It happens....

Ok nearing the bubble then. Either way it's at the stage where people have a lot of thought just to making it into the money.

ah alright that makes more sense, haha. This is without having any reads on villain and pretending i didn't already see the results of the hand above. I normally like to avoid getting involved with a big stack here without having a really strong hand. AJo is marginal. If Btn is stealing alot i don't mind a re-steal. We need to build our stack so were in better position come the bubble and ITM, but i prefer to do this against the shorter/medium stacks cause not only do you build your stack if you double up off them you also knock him out moving closer to the money.

As played, yea shove pre instead of the flop. Your OOP on the flop so its going to be tough to play not matter what comes on the flop.

Hm, depending on how close others are to losing, I might save my bullets for a better situation than AJ OOP.

I tend to get in the money first before getting more aggressive.

You have to be more aggressive towards the bubble because the only hands that are calling an aggressive player are strong hands.
Too few ppl get aggressive when approaching the bubble(I'm guilty :( ) where most of your aggressive moves will work IMO.
