This is a final table of a 500gtd event. Up top is a little over 100. 7th place gets something like 15.00.
I have about 3x 2nd place stack. I drunkinly open 7/deuce off UTG 2.5x.
UTG+1 or whatever it's called 7 handed makes the call.

I cbet AKJ, AK of diamonds on the flop.

UTG insta folds.


WTF did villain have? 88s ?

To note I opened and showed 5/4 s and J/9 s UTG - opening 3x every time. Using my stack to my advantage.

When you have 3x stack compared to the 2nd place fella, and they are folding every hand except for AK 99+ - any 2 is profitable, but the situation has to be right.
Were never doing this when stack sizes are all similar and we have lose opponents. Long run is only applicable if you find yourself in this situation often. Then yes - in the long run it would certainly not be profitable.

I won the tourney I opened nearly every "playable" hand, opponents allowed themselves to be overly exploitable. Easy game
