$1.25 NL HE HU Tourney: should i call here

this was heads up off a sit n go.
blinds were 80/160
stacks-hero had 9200
villian had 4850
my opponent was a tight aggressive player who did not bluff that often.
i had j8 and i limped and my opponent min raised i called the raise and the flop was 388. my opponent bet 160 so i just called then a 10 came 388 10. my opponent bet 160 and then i raised to 650. my opponent called.
the river came an ace so the board was 388 10 a and my opponent pushed, should i call.

I would call this all day and if my opponent has an FH or an 8 with a larger kicker then so sad so sorry, fire up another SNG.

Snapcall / fistpump. Trips HU is huge and even a tight opponent can be betting into you here with a wide range of hands that you beat.

If he's got AA... oh well. You're way ahead of so many hands he could be on here I wouldn't hesitate at all.

Maybe you could have raised back on the flop and bet heavier on the turn. But I do not see folding on the river. Lose to a boat heads up against someone tight, you still have plenty of chips to strike back with. Good call on the river. Hope you outplayed him the rest of heads up to win anyways.

would be real hard to put anyone on AA there. if i were him i'd have had trouble calling that 650 on the turn even.

Easy call. but i would re-raise flop and turn... if he was tight player.. he could have AK AA KK AQ so he could call just to see an A or K... ;)

I think you played the hand well but...........
Lately I have found that I have been allowing others to get to the river and beat me by NOT being more aggressive.

The trap (that infamous Phil Hellmuth trick) has more often than not been turned around on me and cost me chips.
