Im new to the 45 man STT on stars. Aside from a terrible run of cards i feel like these 2 hands i could of played differently. Prob more so hand 1 then hand 2.

Hand 1)
Villain was multi-tabling a ton of tables. Im not really sure what to make of his bet on the flop, could be any pair, draw, or made str8. I thought about flatting and seeing if i could hit a turn card but i decided to raise to see where i stand in the hand. I prob should of shoved instead of just raise but that felt risky. So villain 3 bets and im not sure what to do here.

Hand 2)
Im pretty short stacked here so i need to double up soon. The SS min raises and this seems pretty weak to me. The other guy that makes the call has been calling with such a wide range of hands so his call does not worry me. I know im not getting either one to fold here so would i be better off waiting for a different spot or taking this coin flip against 2 opponents.

Hand 1, fold preflop. these are the hands that a tight nitty early game strategy says to fold no matter how many limpers there are.

Hand 2, This is standard, only other way to play it is to call & shove any flop. Only other option is to fold but that's only if you can def put MP3 on the min-raise SS w/ AA/KK move.

Hand 1: I disagree with the above poster...I think if you're a good post-flop player taking a hand like that in position against multiple players is fine. That being said, I think you should just peel for a turn barring a read on the opponent. You can represent high-card hands if something hits the turn, you can catch gin and go for stacks and you're not committed if you whiff and villain bets big. Given the SPR you have it's quite easy to get stacks in with standard turn/river bets so no need to bloat things now. You'll also have a better idea of where the guy is after you see the turn and his action. Basically: I like calling the flop and betting most turns (~320) if checked to you. Leaves you the perfect stack for a river shove (either as bluff or for value) based on how things proceed.

Hand 2: You kind of have to play this hand unless you know that MP3 knows he's supposed to shove. That would make the min-raise much more likely to be a monster. Otherwise a Stop&Go (call/shove any flop) seems a little better maybe. You're never getting a fold pre.

About hand 2, I would have shoved pf, why would you call and then shove on the turn? Serious question, I don't really see the benefit :)
